Bubble Solution

•  10 cups water
•  1 cup liquid dish soap (Joy or Dawn)
•  2 to 3 TBS. glycerin (from the drug store)

Combine ingredients and make bubbles with wands. To make a large bubble wand, shape a metal coat hanger into a circle and wrap it with yarn. Bubbles work best when it is a little humid outdoors.

Cooked Play dough (the best we’ve found)

•  1 cup white flour
•  1 cup water with food coloring
•  1 TBSP vegetable oil
•  ½ cup salt
•  1 tsp cream of tartar

Mix ingredients together in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until it forms a ball. Knead. Let cool and store covered.

Flubber

• In one container, mix:
• ¾ cup warm water
• 1 cup white glue
• a few drops of food coloring
•  
• In another container, mix:
• 2/3 cup warm water
• 2 tsp. borax (in the detergent aisle)

Mix ingredients in each container. Gently pour the water and borax solution into the glue solution. Stir until it combines and thickens into a gooey ball and only a small amount of liquid is left.

Let it rest 2-3 minutes to continue thickening. Drain excess liquid. Store 2-3 weeks in an airtight container.
