St. Thomas Preschool Advisory Board Meeting

March 11, 2010 
 

The Saint Thomas Advisory Board Meeting was called to order 12:30 p.m. at the St. Thomas Church nursery.  
 

Present: Michelle Garmon, Dusty Murphy, Amy Geile, Lorie Cueva-Garcia and Amy Heuther. 
 

Opening Prayer was said by Amy Geile.

There were no minutes for the February meeting as it was a work day for the fundraiser.

Agenda was approved. 
 

Director’s Report

Michelle Garmon

• Michelle moved to put the mission statement on the monthly agenda.
• Michelle and Dusty will go to the staff meeting with Bishop on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 5 pm.  All board members are encouraged to attend the meeting after at 7 pm.
• Michelle is looking for a new computer program as the starting point in creating our new library.

 
Committee Reports

Fundraising

Jennifer Peterson and Tracy Curtin

• The Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for March 22-26, 2010 in the courtyard.  Families will be encouraged to purchase and  donate books for our new library that will be open in the fall.
• We will start a mosaic fundraiser in the spring.

 
 Communications 

Lori Cueva- Garcia

• Teacher Appreciation week is scheduled for April 19-23, 2010.  Further details at the next meeting.

 
 The next board meeting will be the THIRD Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 12:30 pm.
